How To Break Out Of Your Rut, Stop Settling, And Start Sizzling

Break free from your rut and start living the life you deserve

How would you like to break free from the monotony of your life? Isn’t it time to stop settling for what you’ve got and to start sizzling by claiming the life of inspired abundance and passion that you really want instead?

We all get trapped in a rut from time to time begin to feel bored with life and the same routine day after day. If that describes how you freel, then of course you can’t be happy like this! So it’s time to do something.

There’s an exciting world out there with a lot to offer. Deep down you know you want to get out and take a big bite of it. Sure, it may be a bit overwhelming, and even scary at times, but you can’t let your life just pass you by.

It’s time to live those dreams, take a leap of faith, and get out of your comfort zone. But how do you get started?

Read on for some valuable tips and suggestions to help you be all you can be, now and always:

  1. Decide what you want to do. Put your fears aside and step outside of your comfort zone. If you could do anything without fear, money, or time being an issue, what would you choose?

Make a list of everything you would like to accomplish someday. It doesn’t matter how crazy or outrageous you may think it is, just write it down. It doesn’t matter if your list has three or thirty-three things listed. Just search your heart and your mind and write down what you would really like to do.

  2. Have faith. It’s important to have faith to see your journey until the end, yet this may be one of the hardest qualities to develop. Remember how it feels to be stuck where you are with no excitement and no real purpose. You know things can be better than they are now, but how?
  3. All you need to do is believe in yourself. You know that countless people before you have lived their dreams, so why not you? What makes them so different? There really is no difference between you and others, except for the belief in the possibility for great success. You can be just like they are; you just have to believe you can do it.

  4. Don’t keep it a secret. If you’re ashamed of how you’re feeling, you shouldn’t be. Many people find themselves in the same predicament. The only thing that should embarrass you is if you intentionally decide to stay in that rut. Do yourself a big favor and open up to someone you trust.
  5. Whether that’s a parent, spouse, or best friend, tell them that you’re ready to make a change in your life and they’ll be able support you throughout your journey. They’ll encourage you on the good days and cry with you on the bad days. Most importantly, they’ll be there to support you throughout it all. It’s just what you need to achieve great success.

  6. Take the first step. It’s time to take that first leap of faith. As much as you want to step outside the box and get out of this rut, nothing will happen without taking that first big step.
  7. No matter how frightening you may be, you need to focus on the big picture and the pot of gold at the end of that rainbow. Muster up all the encouragement and support you can find and just do it. Once the first step is accomplished, it gets easier. You deserve to be the best that you can possibly be, and deep down inside you know this. You’ll be so glad you took action – and you’ll be so proud of yourself when you celebrate at the finish line.

No one enjoys being in a rut and just going through the motions of life. Don’t let your fears hold you back. After all, this is a wonderful world that you deserve to enjoy to the fullest.

Go out and experience everything life has to offer. Take that first leap of faith and you’ll never look back again.

A Simple Process For Discovering Your Life Purpose

I am discovering my life purpose

Are you ready to Discover Your Life’s Purpose?

There is a purpose for your life, whether you believe it or not. You may have to take several paths, but with a little digging, you can find where you’re meant to be.

The first clue to figuring out your purpose in life is to consider what natural talents, gifts and abilities you’re born with.

  • Are you artistic or musical?
  • Is it easy for you to talk to people?
  • Are you a natural communicator?
  • Do you love to socialize?
  • Do you love to decorate and rearrange your home?
  • Are you good at taking charge?
  • Are you creative and crafty?
  • Do you understand electronics and technical gadgets?
  • Do you understand computer technology?
  • Do people compliment you on your style?
  • Are you a good writer?
  • Do you have good organizational skills?

Once you figure out what talents naturally live within you, you can then understand what you’re supposed to be doing with those gifts and talents. This is your purpose in life.

What Do You Love to Do?

Have you ever sat down and really reflected on what you love to do?

There are literally millions of possibilities, so start with the gifts and talents you were born with. From there figure out what you love to do that requires using those gifts and talents.

  • If you’re artistic or musical, teaching others how to draw, paint or play an instrument may be your calling in life.
  • Being naturally social, you might consider being an organizer for social events.
  • If you’re always redecorating and rearranging your home, why not get paid to do it and start an interior decorating business?
  • Being a natural born leader opens all kinds of doors that could lead you in many different directions. Does your church or other local community groups need someone to head up a department? You may find your purpose there.
  • If you’re good at making crafty things, helping at a preschool or elementary school may be fulfilling for you. Using your creative ability could open the door to a career in graphic arts as well.
  • If you’re technically minded, perhaps you might consider using your understanding of electronics to fix equipment or you might enjoy working in an electronics store.
  • If you have a strong knowledge of computers, you’re certain to find a career online or with a high tech company or you might even consider starting your own business.
  • If you’re naturally stylish and love to keep up with what’s new in the fashion world, perhaps designing your own line of clothing or accessories is your purpose. Or maybe you’d enjoy helping others discover what style works best for them by working in a clothing store. Another option may be to offer your services as a fashion consultant to those who are unemployed, so they can learn how to dress professionally for job interviews.
  • The love of writing may be something you don’t even realize yet. With blogging becoming the most popular way to market a business, getting paid to write is a great way to make money from home. Many people have started a simple blog that has turned into a money making machine. Start by writing on topics you already have knowledge about and go from there. You might be surprised at how much money you can make with your love of writing.
  • Using your organizational skills, you might be fond of going into homes and getting them ready for sale or helping elderly persons organize their homes. You could also offer your services online as an organizational consultant or teach those who aren’t naturally organized.

Finding your purpose in life simply takes self-reflection as well as some trial and error. Free yourself from wandering through life without purpose. We’re all here for a reason and, once your find your purpose and begin living it, you’ll feel happy and fulfilled!

Ten Practical Tips To Help You Save Time And Live The Lifestyle You Want

Ten Practical tips to help you save time

Are you looking for practical ways to save time without cutting corners — and to be able to start living the lifestyle you want? Then you’ve come to the right place.

Here are 10 practical time saving tips you can begin using today:

  1. Menu Planning. Planning meals in advance not only saves time, but it also saves you money. When you plan your meals for the week, you won’t be running to the grocery store every day to get the things you need.

Another plus to meal planning is not being tempted to eat out as often. Meal planning is simple and easy to do and, with a little research for recipes online, you can plan something different for every meal for a month or more.

  2. Scheduling. By creating and sticking to a daily schedule, you’ll save enormous amounts of time because you can stay focused on the task at hand, instead of what’s next.
  3. You’ll also want to add events to a family calendar on the fridge, that way you’ll know when and where each family member needs to be for their different activities. Plus, you’ll avoid the last minute rush and forgotten appointments when your schedule is centralized.

  4. Keep Lists. Having lists of all the things you need to do in a day will help you stay on task, while giving you a sense of accomplishment as you cross off each item.
  5. Without a list, you tend to be more scatterbrained. You’ll find yourself repeating unnecessary steps or thoughts in order to get things done.

  6. Organization. Being organized is one of the biggest time savers there is. When you’re organized, it’s easy to find what you need and be on your way.
  7. When you’re physically organized, you’ll feel mentally organized, too. Also, once you get used to putting everything in its place, the stress of losing your keys or phone vanishes. The key is that, once you’re organized, you’ve got to stay organized.

  8. Complete Your Errands In One Trip. When you need to get some errands done, try to schedule them into one morning or afternoon.
  9. The biggest waste of your time is the “in-between” time while you wait for the next task or appointment. As you know, frequently stopping and starting tasks stifles your productivity and wastes precious time.

  10. Delegate, Delegate, Delegate! Whenever possible, delegate the daily chores or appointments to other capable family members or colleagues.
  11. We have the strength of communities, families, and teams for a reason. You don’t have to do everything yourself.

  12. Get Rid of Distractions. If you spend most of your time on the computer, turn off the programs that easily tear you away from the task at hand. Social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook can be a huge distraction that sucks up valuable time.
  13. When you focus more intently on getting things done, you’ll find that you’ll have more time for social networking and fun.

  14. Learn to Say No. Once in a while, you’ll be asked to do more than time allows. In these moments, you must learn to say no politely, and then either delegate the task or re-schedule for a more appropriate time.
  15. By respecting your time, others will respect you, too.

  16. Utilize Idle Time. While sitting in a waiting room or during your daily commute, use your time wisely.
  17. You can catch up on emails, work on that important report, or plan out your shopping list. Whatever it is, when you use idle time, you’re giving yourself more quality time with your family when you’re home.

  18. Group Similar Tasks. Learning to incorporate tasks together that you can do at the same time will save you lots of time in the long run.
    • Do the dishes or pick up around the house while chatting on the phone.
    • When you go to the restroom, spray some cleanser in the sink and quickly wipe it down when you’re finished.
    • When you de-clutter a table or countertop, dust it off at the same time.
    • When you go to turn off the TV the kids left on, take a dust cloth with you and give it a couple of quick swipes.

Saving time doesn’t have to cut into your lifestyle. By adopting and incorporating just a few of these ideas, you’ll soon spend more time doing the things you want to do!

15 Simple Exercises To Keep Your Brain Sharp

Simple exercises to sharpen your brain and enhance your body and soul

Use it or lose it — if you don’t keep your mind active, studies show that your brain loses some of its functionality as you age, which causes memory loss, brain fog, and even Alzheimer’s.

A well-stimulated brain also elevates your mood, which helps you feel better on the inside.

Here are 15 simple brain boosting activities:

  1. Play games that challenge and stimulate your mind. These include:
    • Picture Puzzles
    • Strategy Games
    • Crossword Puzzles
    • Card Games
    • Deduction Games (such as Clue)
    • Visualization Puzzles
    • Optical Illusions
  2. Reading stimulates the brain as it activates your imagination. Reading also helps with memory retention and problem solving, especially if you’re reading a mystery. Also, self-help books stimulate your brain by helping you to think for yourself, as well as find solutions in your mind.
  3. Exercising helps circulate blood that carries oxygen to your brain. Over the long-term, exercise is proven to increase brainpower and even create new neurons.
  4. Stimulate your brain with meditation. Meditation has been shown to increase your IQ, relieve stress, and promote a higher level of brain functioning. Meditation also stimulates the prefrontal cortex of the brain, the area of the brain responsible for advanced thinking, ability and performance.
  5. Deep breathing helps deliver oxygen to your brain. Oxygen helps you be more alert and awake. As little as 10 to 15 minutes of deep breathing daily can increase brain functionality.
  6. Taking fish oil supplements is literally like membrane material for the brain. The two primary components in fish oil, DHA and EPA, strengthen the emotional center of the brain and boost focus.
  7. Studies have proven that listening to music strengthens the right hemisphere of the brain and actually changes the structure of it. Also, people who listen to music are shown to be more emotionally intelligent than those who don’t.
  8. Writing improves memory and thought expression. Writing articles, blogs, or journal entries stimulates thought processes, which also enhances brain function.
  9. Sleep clears out brain clutter and reduces brain fog. When you don’t get enough sleep at night, your memory and normal brain function suffers.
  10. Painting is shown to be an effective brain booster in that it sparks the creativity within you. Even if you’ve never tried painting before, give it a shot. You’ll find that you feel more creative and may actually enjoy it.
  11. Starting the day out with a good breakfast has been proven to supply energy to the brain and body for the whole day. When you skip breakfast, you’re missing out on a powerful edge, both physically and mentally.
  12. Walking allows you to clear your mind and thoughts. Not only is it good exercise for your body, walking gives your brain a chance to wander freely, clearing it of any troublesome thoughts.
  13. Drink a serving of pure fruit juice. Fruit juice contains nutrients that revitalize and refresh the brain. Juices to drink are pomegranate, blueberry, and cranberry as they deliver more focus and energy.
  14. Students who drink some caffeine before an exam typically have higher scores than those who don’t. This is because caffeine stimulates activity in the brain, which produces better focus and thinking ability. Don’t overdo it though.
  15. Draw a picture. Like painting, drawing stimulates the creative side of your brain. So get out some colored pencils and start boosting your brainpower.

To get the most out of these brain boosting activities, mix them up and do a variety of them at different times. Just choosing one won’t boost your brainpower, however, combining and alternating them will give your brain the added boost you need now and in the long run.

A Simple Technique To Help You Overcome Procrastination

I overcome procrastination in my life

If you are like most people, procrastination is something you find yourself doing almost habitually every day. This of course really interferes with your ability to allow law of attraction to work in your favor on a daily basis.

Your procrastination may not be around everything. In fact, if you are like most people, it is typically around very few things. However, those few things are most often ultimately really important things.

It’s an interesting phenomenon. Typically, do you catch yourself procrastinating around something that you know intellectually is important for you to do? Of course when you do that, you then no doubt proceed to beat yourself up for not doing it.

This is such a terrible recipe to follow. That’s because it is a sure fire way to create vibrational misalignment with what you are intending. Procrastination is definitely not going to support you in your intention to live a life of happiness and abundance.

But it’s not always so easy to overcome procrastination. No doubt you will often feel some lingering “thing” going on that is causing you to procrastinate on those very things you know you must do.

The first step in overcoming procrastination, is to understand that it is generally a symptom of some type of underlying resistance. The resistance may be due to a lack of belief about your ability to do something, or a fear or doubt that’s sitting in the back of your mind. It’s often something about which you may not even be consciously aware. Just know that if you are procrastinating around something, then some form of resistance is lingering there somewhere in the shadows.

Here is a simple example.

Many people often procrastinate around their book keeping and taxes. You convince yourself you don’t like it and so you tend to put it off. But when you examine what is going on more closely, you will likely realize there is an underlying fear of doing the book keeping improperly or around what you might owe. In your mind, you may even fast forward from there and imagine having some type of penalty slapped upon you by the tax man.

In response to this fear, you procrastinate.

To overcome procrastination, learn to step back, take a breath and remind yourself that millions of people world easily do their own book keeping. In fact, you can probably do a better job with your book keeping than most if you really wanted to. And you know you will feel better once you have sat down and completed it.

That reflection changes your thinking around the task and will enable you to move forward through the procrastination. Once you have done that, you will be realigned vibrationally with your intentions and once again in an allowing state. Law of attraction will once again be your friend.

So if you catch yourself procrastinating around a particular task, take a moment to get quiet and tune into what is really playing in your mind. Lock into the underlying feeling or emotion that’s the root of the issue. Once you’ve located the root thought or feeling, change it to something that feels better.

How To Get More Of What You Really Want In Your Life

What is it you want right now in your life? If you’re like most people, you probably find that question difficult to answer. Yet it’s fundamental to determining the road you wish to travel.

How fulfilled do you presently feel in your life? Are you content with things as they are or do you find yourself aspiring for a deeper, more meaningful sense of purpose or self expression?

001-dewey-800x600

We all have an inherent need for growth and expansion, but often become so caught up in past or current circumstances that we’re unable to see past the status quo. We become locked into habitual patterns and begin to feel trapped.

When you feel that way, it is because we are not longer growing or expanding — and you intuitively recognize this, hence your “feeling” of being stifled. This is actually your guidance system kicking in to let you know you are off course.

So when you notice that your guidance system is telling us something is amiss, what can you do to correct course? Here is a simple technique you can use to help bring about your “course correction” and put you back on your natural path of growth and expansion — which of course leads to you living a life of inspired abundance.

The Technique

Start by asking yourself this question: What is it right now that I really want and that is most important to me?

This fundamental question can serve as your foundation regardless of your circumstances. Your answer will change with your circumstances, but by answering this basic question you will always be able to ground yourself in what is most important.

The key thing to remember is to focus on the “what” because we are often prone to “how” responses that masquerade as a “what”.

For example, let’s suppose your first impulse to answer this question is “to pay off my credit cards”.

Paying off your credit cards is actually a “how” that solves something else. So, what is it about paying off the credit cards that is most important to you right now? Is it that it will allow you to take a trip? Is it the sense of relief you will feel? What is it, really?

The technique you can use to help you get underneath and into your real “what” is to employ the “What Five” technique.

Beginning with your first answer, ask the “what is it I really want” question again framed around your answer. Then ask the question again framed around your new answer. Do this until you are 5 layers deep (or until you no longer come up with a different answer).

It’s a simple way to peel back the onion and zero in on what it is right now that you really want that is most important to you. And once you have clarity around what you really want, you can then begin to ask yourself what one thing you can do today to help you move towards what you really want.

What Is Your Perception Of Truth? 10 Motivational Quotes

What is your perception of truth? One of the interesting things about truth when you really examine it is that it’s all a matter of perspective. The concept of truth is especially interesting in light of the fact that most people tend to take to their perception of truth to be absolute.

What is your truth?

Yet it’s your perception of truth that determines what you believe, and it’s your belief that determines the level of action you take towards your dreams of abundance and prosperity.

If you look up the definition of “truth” in the dictionary, here is what you will find:

1. the true or actual state of a matter: He tried to find out the truth 2. conformity with fact or reality; verity: the truth of a statement 3. a verified or indisputable fact, proposition, principle, or the like

We’re taught that the “truth is out there” and we’re inundated with messages that promote a particular truth, but my truth and your truth may be very different. So who’s is the correct truth?

Conventional wisdom at one time was that the Earth was flat. Everyone agreed that this was the truth. When Columbus set out to finance his exploration of an alternative route to the Far East, he was laughed at and ridiculed. All because he saw a different truth.

This of course ties in directly with your beliefs. Often in life, in order to make your dreams come true, you must follow your own belief in your own truth. You may not find many others who agree with your view of the world. At the same time, you must guard against holding to your own truth as absolute. Is it starting to feel a little fuzzy?

In the spirit of finding the truth, here are 10 top quotes about the nature of truth:

  1. The greatest enemy of any one of our truths may be the rest of our truths. (William James)
  2. The thought that provokes thought is much more valuable than the thought that is only an echo of an accepted truth. (Thomas W. Hanford)
  3. Candor is a double-edged sword; it may heal or it may separate. (Wilhelm Stekel)
  4. When in doubt, tell the truth. (Mark Twain)
  5. The Greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. (Stephen Hawking)
  6. The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth. (Niels Bohr)
  7. The greatest friend of truth is time, her greatest enemy is prejudice, and her constant companion humility. (Chuck Colson)
  8. It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error. (Adrian Rodgers)
  9. Truth is not determined by majority vote. (Doug Gwyn)
  10. The pure and simple truth is rarely pure and never simple. (Oscar Wilde)

What is your perception of truth and is your perception assisting you in reaching your dreams or is it hindering you? Or perhaps, to quote another famous line, “you can’t handle the truth”.

How To Overcome Your Fears And Manifest Your Dreams In 3 Easy Steps

Your dreams and your fears seem to always be intertwined. If you’re like most people, you far too frequently allow your fears to get in the way of pursuing your dreams. In this article, you are going to discover 3 very simple steps you can take to overcome your fears and begin manifesting your dreams instead.

Warren looks a little more fearful -- doesn't he?

Warren overcoming his fear in 3 easy steps

Some time ago, I participated in a firewalk. So let’s use that as an analogy or context for these steps. A firewalk can be very unnerving. When you approach the coal bed, the coals are 1200 degrees fahrenheit, glowing red and still flaring. It is an unnerving sight which brings up more than a little bit of fear.

The primary fear is imagining that you will end up with severe burns to your feet and unable to walk. Of course, there is also the fear that you might fall down onto the hot coals, and have your clothing catch fire. Heck, perhaps you’ll even spontaneously combust — afterall you do have to sign a waiver acknowledging death as a potential outcome.

In my particular case, none of those things happened. I successfully navigated the bed of burning coals and felt exhilarated when I got to the other side. So how did I do that? What were the three simple steps I was able to use to overcome those extremely real feeling fears?

Step 1: Decide

The first step is to decide you will proceed in the face of your worry, doubt, or fear. In the absence of the decision to proceed, nothing will overcome the inertia and fear will rule the day.

In the case of the fire walk, I made the decision that it was something that was important for me to do. Why? Well, for me, it was a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate to myself that I’m able to rise above my fears and do something my mind is telling me I can’t or shouldn’t do. This was important to me. Besides, other people were doing it, so why couldn’t I do it too?

A strong desire for something that’s on the other side of your fear is a prerequisite to making the decision. But the decision is the foundation.

Step 2: Keep Moving Forward

Once you’ve embarked upon your goal, you must keep moving forward. If you allow fear to set in, you have a tendency to freeze (like a deer in the headlights) which is when things you don’t want to happen most likely will. Being in motion towards your goal is critical to success.

In the case of the firewalk, if I stopped part way along the path and simply stood there, then there was a very high likelihood that I was going to suffer burns.

Moving forward means taking the step by step actions required to maintain momentum.

Step 3: Focus On Where You’re Going

You must keep your eye on your destination. Don’t look behind you or off to the side to see what’s happening. When you do, you will be prone to misstep.

In the case of the firewalk, if I started to look behind me or at the crowd, I would be putting my safety in peril. That is how I’d most likely trip or misstep and then really hurt myself. I had to keep my eye on the other side of the coal bed, which served as my “lighthouse” of sorts with which to guide my navigation.

And then, celebrate!

You can be sure there are a lot of high fives and hugs in celebration when you make it to the other side of the hot coal bed, as there should be. Living a life of inspired abundance means deciding to go after what you desire, moving constantly forward, keeping your eye on where you’re going at all times, and then celebrating your successes along the way.

Essential Points About Your Beliefs And Attracting What You Want

Warren and Michelle Wojnowski taking a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon

Warren and Michelle Wojnowski taking a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon

What are your beliefs and why do you believe what you believe? Are you holding beliefs that empower you or are you holding beliefs that are preventing you from manifesting your dreams?

So often, we allow our beliefs to stand in the way of us getting what we really want in our lives. We buy into the idea that we’re not good enough, or we don’t deserve it, or that we’re selfish if we want more, or that we’re not special enough.

Where did these beliefs come from?

Here’s what dictionary.com says is the definition of belief:

1. The mental act, condition, or habit of placing trust or confidence in another: My belief in you is as strong as ever. 2. Mental acceptance of and conviction in the truth, actuality, or validity of something: His explanation of what happened defies belief. 3. Something believed or accepted as true, especially a particular tenet or a body of tenets accepted by a group of persons.

You are told what to believe from the moment you are born. You’re inundated with slogans and statements you’re expected to accept as truth. You are subjected to authoritative assertions of “truth” from your parents, grand parents, teachers, clergy, government and the media.

Most of us don’t have a chance of determining our own beliefs because by the time we’re old enough to reason for ourselves, we’ve already developed the habit of not questioning statements from authoritative sources. We’ve been essentially socialized into blindly accepting what we’re told to believe.

When it comes to making your dreams come true, if you are choosing not to take the actions that best position yourself for success in whatever you wish to pursue, then it’s an indication that you don’t have the belief you can have it, do it, or deserve it. What do you suppose would happen if you began to question those beliefs? What is it that has led you to accept those beliefs as truth? Why should you accept these beliefs if they don’t serve your higher good?

Because someone else said so?

By changing your thoughts, you will begin to change your beliefs. Change your beliefs and you change your results. By taking ownership of your beliefs, you empower yourself to make your dreams come true.

Living a life of inspired abundance includes learning to spot and question the underlying beliefs you hold that are getting in the way of your dreams. And it means having the confidence in your own ability to apply thinking and reason to develop a new set of beliefs that better serve you and your highest good. It’s about empowering yourself to make conscious decisions about what you choose to believe.

Is Your Ego Getting In The Way Of The Results You Want?

Is your ego your friend or your enemy? If you are finding that you are not getting the results you want in your life — if the level of abundance and prosperity you are after continues to elude you — your ego may well be the culprit.

We generally live in an ego driven society, so it’s not a surprise that ego may be getting in the way. Ego disguises itself cleverly within you and then goes about convincing you that it is you. You are taught to invest so much effort and energy into preserving your ego, yet it’s only by letting go of the ego that you can truly be set free to live a life of prosperity and abundance.

This is one of the core teachings of Wallace Wattles in his book The Science of Getting Rich. Wattles teaches that ego is a vestige of the competitive plane, whereas lasting prosperity and freedom reside within the creative plane. Therefore, your path to riches and fulfillment in life is through your creative mind rather than your competitive mind (ego).

How do you know that your ego is in the way? The easiest way is to practice observing and monitoring your own thoughts and feelings and look for clues.

  • Are you hesitating to do something because you are worried about what others will say?
  • Do you find yourself having to be right all of the time?
  • Do you find yourself seeking the approval of others?
  • Do you criticize yourself and put yourself down?
  • Do you believe you have to fight for everything you get?
  • Do you believe you must win and others must lose?

These are but a few examples of the way in which your ego can be manipulating you. The interesting thing about your ego is that it will do anything it can protect itself, whether that is to your overall detriment or not. A terrific “mind bending” film on the topic is Revolver, directed by Guy Ritchie. It offers some really intriguing insights and analogies on the topic of ego and is well worth watching.

To further help you frame the topic of ego, here are 7 terrific motivational quotes to assist you in further coming to grips with your own reflections about where your ego might be getting in the way of what you really want.

  1. “Ego is the biggest enemy of humans” Rig Veda
  2. “One may understand the cosmos, but never the ego; the self is more distant than any star” GK Chesterton
  3. “Whenever I climb I am followed by a dog called Ego” Friedrich Nietzsche
  4. “It is the nature of the ego to take and the nature of the spirit to share” Proverb
  5. “Today self-consciousness no longer means anything but reflection on the ego as embarrassment, as realization of impotence: knowing that one is nothing” Thedor Adorno
  6. “The ultimate aim of the ego is not to see something, but to be something.” Muhammed Iqbal
  7. “Every normal person, in fact, is only normal on the average. His ego approximates to that of the psychotic in some part or other and to a greater or lesser extent.” Sigmund Freud
