|
While we certainly are not about doom and gloom, we do
believe in paying attention. There are some important questions and
ideas to consider from the film Zeitgeist. This film
is going to create a visceral response from you whether you believe any of
its content or reject it completely.
The point though, is to remain open, consider the ideas,
and then find your own truth in it. Wherever you happen to land, what

Dad Poor Dad was actually the book that served as the catalyst for us
actively pursuing our own business and led us down a radically different
wealth building path than we had been on up to that point.
That was in March, 2004. His description of the "cashflow
quadrants" really resonated with us and serves as a foundational concept from
which we now operate. |

These are two concepts to keep
in mind at all times as you craft your wealth building plan.
Compound interest is your largest ally. Taxation is your
largest hurdle. So your wealth building plan must always be
cognizant of both. |

Wealth Creation Book Recommendation |

Empire of Debt
This book has been out for a
couple of years now, but it is so very relevant to our current economic
times.
Addison Wiggin and Bill Bonner
provide a fascinating history lesson in which they cover the policies and
actions taken by all great empires in history. |
|
And they point out quite succinctly
that all great empires have imploded. They've done so socially and
economically.
The path the U.S. is on and the
nearly "perfect storm" place setting of its current economic policies and
spending programs certainly suggests the potential for a financial crisis
far beyond what almost any of us would anticipate in our worst nightmares.
Much of what is covered so well in
the book forms a framework for my own thinking as I develop my wealth
building plan
– and indeed a framework that I
believe ought to be incorporated into your financial plan as well.
This book is a tremendous example of
the type of "wealth building education" that will serve you well on your
path to learning to become your own financial advisor and positioning you
to provide direction and context for any professional advisors with which
you engage.
I highly recommend you buy and not
only read, but study this book. I dare suggest it is one of the most important
financial books
written this decade.
