One of my mentors used to tell me that you’re either growing or you’re dying.
When it comes to building an abundance mindset, your ongoing growth and personal development is vital — it is, in fact your life blood.
And it covers a broad spectrum: from your mindset, to your motivations, to your thoughts and actions.
One of the foundations of building a truly abundant mindset is to first understand clearly who you are, for when you do that, you are able to clearly identify the patterns of thinking that have shaped where you are. Only then, can you begin to deliberately change them.
To discover who you really are requires authentic self examination and reflection.
It requires the courage to look clearly at who you are, warts and all. At times it can feel exhausting and at other times exhilarating.
But it is always liberating and truly empowering because, as you get better at revealing yourself, you open up more opportunity to deliberately create who you want to be.
I’ve been earnestly focused on strengthening my abundance mindset as part of my own personal development journey in a deliberate and conscious way for over a decade now.
Initially, my focus tended to be more business and financial services focused because I identified who I was with what my career was.
However, in time I came to discover the likes of Tony Robbins, Wayne Dyer and a host of other teachers.
I came to realize that what I’m really after in this life is a sense of self-fulfillment.
Imagine my surprise when that finally clicked for me and I realized I received very little self fulfillment from my career.
I find the field of personal development fascinating and enjoy exploring the different luminaries, subjects and ideas.
My intention with the personal development and mindset focused content on this site is to share ideas and topics that have struck me and from which I’ve benefitted.
As you may have heard me say elsewhere, I am not a guru and this is not an advisory service. Although I actually am an Intrinsic Coach®, I’m also not here to coach you.
If you really want to grow in your life, you don’t need someone to take you by the hand and lead you every step of the way.
It’s your life and you are ultimately the person who has the most invested in your personal growth and mindset.
It’s up to you to filter the content, take what you like, and leave the rest.
